A shadowy figure from Kings Landing joins as a guide. The huntsman and this new guide murder sleeping bandits, capture toothless, and rescue the kidnapped lord-ling (the Knight was there as well, but didn’t participate in the murder).
Questioning of toothless goes poorly. One of the bandits tells about Maddogg for the possibility of leniency. A plan is devised by the maester to let toothless escape, then track him. Arrangements are made with the captain of the guard to allow the plan to go forward.
